PRONOUN ANTECEDENT
The antecedent of a pronoun is the noun it replaces.
Example
Jessica is cleaning her room.
Jessica is the antecedent of her.
Doug drove his car in the parade.
Doug is the antecedent of his.
The train makes its first stop at noon.
Train is the antecedent of its.
